Quilt History

Quilts by Others

From traditional Appalachian quilts made by my grandmother and aunt, to contemporary studio quilts purchased or commissioned, the works in this collection have inspired my own creativity for many years. While illustrations in books and magazines can help quilt artists recharge their batteries, nothing can compare with studying and handling original quilts.  For the contemporary quilts, I thought that you might enjoy trying to guess the names of the artists, which are revealed when you click on the thumbnail to see a larger image.
