Materials: Cotton fabric digitally printed by Spoonflower, metallic acrylic paint, pearl cotton embroidery thread, batting, cotton whole-cloth top and cotton backing

Techniques: Digital photography  of trochus shell, fabric collage via machine applique, hand painting, hand stitching as quilting

Statement: Without joy, why are we here?  We often cannot control what happens, but we can try to control how we react and then move on. Spiral imagery symbolizes my life-long journey of finding joy.
