Materials: Cotton fabric, acrylic paint, cotton embroidery thread, metal elephant charms, cowrie shells on polymer clay, Nigerian lace flowers
Techniques: Machine piecing, stamp printing, hand stitching, hand painting
Statement: As our country was preparing to commemorate its 250th anniversary, my thoughts turned to violent conflicts, past and present. My hope is that diplomacy and common sense might prevail, replacing bloodshed, hate, and the self-centered pursuit of unreasonable goals.
