 Techniques: Digital fabric printing, couching of metallic thread, hand embroidery, hand embroidery as quilting, top stitched by hand to backing

 Statement: Lichens are an amazing group of symbiotic plants, able to survive in harsh environments, and with antiviral properties that might have amazing applications. But for me, their attraction stems from biofluorescence—the ability of lichens to absorb sunlight and then emit it as dazzling colors under black light, like a secret world of color.
