Materials: Vintage machine-pieced Jacob’s Ladder quilt top consisting of commercial cottons, cyanotype chemicals overall, cotton back, cotton embroidery thread, bamboo and cotton batting

Techniques: Sun-printed cyanotype photograms of a wooden ladder, hand stitching

Statement: Homage to Led Zeppelin and their “Stairway to Heaven,” one of the finest rock songs of all time.  My Past Present series incorporates traditional vintage quilt blocks and tops assembled by anonymous makers, creating contemporary statements.
