Techniques: digitally manipulated images of a Florida license plate, photo heat transfer, machine piecing, hand-sewn sequins, stab-stitching in machine quilting, hand-stitching of binding on back.

Materials: cotton twill (front and back), cotton-polyester binding, cotton-polyester thread, sequins.

Statement:  This quilt series On the Road was inspired by my solo cross-country drive in 2008, from Los Angeles to New York City, during which I photographed license plates along the way.
